Montecristo
Montecristo was founded in 1935 at the H. Upmann factory in Havana, taking its name from Alexandre Dumas's The Count of Monte Cristo, a favourite of the readers who entertained the rollers. Hunters & Frankau helped design and launch the brand. The original range ran from No.1 to No.5, and Habanos describe the No.4 as the best-selling Habano in the world. Every size is long filler and totally handmade with Vuelta Abajo leaf.
Habanos class the classic range as medium to full and the Open Series (Master, Eagle) as medium. Choose by time available: the No.5 and Petit Edmundo suit a short smoke, while the No.2 pyramid and Double Edmundo reward a longer sitting.
