Cohiba

Cohiba was created in 1966 at Havana's El Laguito factory and for years was given only as a gift to heads of state and diplomats, until limited public sale began in 1982. Its name is a Taíno word for rolled tobacco leaves. The leaf is selected from the finest vegas of San Juan y Martínez and San Luis in the Vuelta Abajo, and Cohiba is the only Habanos brand in which two of its leaf types receive an extra fermentation.

Habanos class the Línea Clásica (Robusto, Panetelas) as medium to full, the Siglo sizes of Línea 1492 as medium, the Maduro 5 line (Genios) as medium to full and Behike as full. Choose by line for strength, then by size and ring gauge for smoking time.
