Padrón - Dámaso No. 12 - Box of 20

The Dámaso line is named after Dámaso Padrón, the family member who came to Cuba from the Canary Islands in the late 1800s. Launched in 2015, it was a clear departure for Padrón: a round, not box-pressed, cigar in an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, with Nicaraguan binder and filler. Padrón describes its flavour as complex and mild to medium.

Tor Imports' notes pick out toasted almond and sweet pecan over a core of earth, wood and whiskey-barrel oak, with some citrus and spice on the finish. Reviewing the No. 15, halfwheel's reviewer found cedar and cream with a peanut-shell finish, and said the strength never went past mild to medium. Each cigar carries a numbered guarantee band.
