Padrón - 1926 Series No. 35 Maduro - Box of 24

The Padrón 1926 Serie was introduced in 2002 to mark the 75th birthday of company founder José O. Padrón, who was born in 1926. The cigars are box-pressed and hand made from Nicaraguan tobacco aged for five years, and each size comes in a sun-grown natural or maduro wrapper. Padrón describes the result as smooth, complex, balanced and full-bodied.

Tor Imports' tasting notes describe chocolate, coffee and nuts with a touch of black cherry, followed by a very long finish. Reviewing the No. 47 Maduro, halfwheel's reviewer found leather, earth, cedar and creamy nuts, with an early graham-cracker sweetness giving way to espresso and dark chocolate. The No. 9 was Cigar Aficionado's Cigar of the Year in 2007.
