Founded in Havana in 1845 by Don Jaime Partagás, Partagás is one of the oldest and most characterful Habanos marques. Its factory on Industria Street, just behind the Capitolio, became one of Havana's landmarks; production has since moved to Calle San Carlos. Every Partagás is long filler and totally handmade with Vuelta Abajo tobacco, and the marque is classed as full in flavour: deep, earthy and spicy.

Published reviewers commonly describe the Lusitanias as having floral and sweet at first, moving to leather, cedar and almond with coffee and cocoa.

Storage & smoking
Keep in a humidor at 65–70% relative humidity and around 16–18°C. Cut just above the cap line and toast the foot gently before lighting; smoke slowly and let it rest between draws.
