My Father - The Judge Corona Gorda - Box of 23
My Father The Judge was introduced in 2016 as a fuller extension of the core My Father line, named after a friend of the García family. It pairs a dark Sumatra Oscuro wrapper from Ecuador with a dual binder of Nicaraguan corojo and criollo and filler from three García family farms in Nicaragua. The boxes carry artwork recreated from a Victorian lithograph of around 1905.
My Father calls it a full-bodied blend whose subtle sweetness hides real strength. halfwheel's reviewer of the 6 x 56 found sweet earth, creamy notes and hints of peanut butter before heavier pepper and nicotine took over in the second half. Tor Imports notes that The Judge was named Cigar Aficionado's No. 1 cigar of 2024.
