Matilde was founded by Jose Seijas (Cigar Aficionado Hall of Fame, 2012), whose career in cigars began in 1974 at the Consolidated Cigar Corporation. Quadrata is the box-pressed line in the range.
It has a Habano Ecuador wrapper, a Dominican and Nicaraguan binder and Dominican filler. Tabac World describes it as well balanced between body and flavour, with a long nutty finish.
