La Flor Dominicana - Oro Chisel Tubos - Box of 5
La Flor Dominicana Oro was introduced in 2012 and is known for its golden tubes. According to Cigar Aficionado, the blend uses a high-priming Cuban-seed wrapper grown in Nicaragua over Dominican binder and filler. LFD sums up the line as "refined power", a strong cigar with plenty of flavour.
Tor Imports explains that the name, Spanish for gold, honours Litto Gomez's earlier career as a jeweller. The Chisel is LFD's trademark wedge-headed shape, measuring 6 x 54, here supplied in individual gold tubes. Cigar Aficionado ranked the Oro Chisel No. 14 in its 2013 Top 25 with 94 points, finding it considerably strong, with spicy leather, ginger and hickory. Tor Imports rates it full in strength.
