Juan López is one of the smallest Habanos brands, but it has a long and loyal following. The Selección Especial was chosen to mark two anniversaries at once: 150 years of the brand and 30 years of La Casa del Habano. It uses the Fortunas size, 170mm by 52 ring gauge, first used for a 2009 regional edition made for the United Kingdom, and is presented in a special case of 25.

Connoisseurs' notes: Habanos rates it medium to strong; Cigar Aficionado (92 points) found almond, chocolate and nougat, developing towards honey and a gentle apple spice.
