The Piedra family came to Cuba from Asturias in the 1880s and settled near Santa Clara, and the brand was founded by the second generation under José Lamadrid Piedra. José L. Piedra cigars are totally handmade with short filler from the Remedios region, and are classed by Habanos as medium to full in flavour: a rustic, great-value Habano.

Storage & smoking
Keep in a humidor at 65–70% relative humidity and around 16–18°C. Cut just above the cap line and toast the foot gently before lighting; smoke slowly and let it rest between draws.
