Part of Hoyo de Monterrey's Le Hoyo Series, measuring 140 mm (5½") with a 56 ring gauge. The series is generally regarded as slightly stronger and spicier than the brand's classic range.
The brand takes its name from José Gener's Hoyo de Monterrey plantation in San Juan y Martínez, in the heart of the Vuelta Abajo; 'hoyo' means 'hole', describing the vega's low-lying riverside position. Gener, from Tarragona, first used the name on a brand of Havanas in 1865. It is known for its Double Corona, the Epicure series and the slightly stronger Le Hoyo Series. Flavour: Light.

Storage & smoking
Keep in a humidor at 65–70% relative humidity and around 16–18°C. Cut just above the cap line and toast the foot gently before lighting; smoke slowly and let it rest between draws.
