Blackened M81 is the first cigar in the Blackened series, a collaboration between Metallica's James Hetfield, master distiller Rob Dietrich and Drew Estate founder Jonathan Drew. It is made by Drew Estate in Nicaragua with a dark Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, a Connecticut River Valley broadleaf binder and a filler of Nicaraguan and Pennsylvania Green River tobacco.
Drew Estate describes it as maduro through and through, rating it medium to full bodied, with dark chocolate and toast over a gentle black-pepper background.
