Cohiba - Panetelas - Single
A single cigar, the ideal way to try this size before committing to a box.
The smallest of the three original Cohibas: a slim Laguito No.3 for a short, intense smoke.
Cohiba was created in 1966 at the El Laguito factory in Havana, and for years was reserved as a gift for heads of state and diplomats before going on limited public sale in 1982. The name is a Taíno word for rolled tobacco. Leaf is selected from the finest vegas of San Juan y Martínez and San Luis in the Vuelta Abajo, and the filler receives an extra fermentation that gives Cohiba its smooth, refined character.
Connoisseurs' notes
Published reviewers commonly describe the Panetelas as having grassy and earthy, complex and smooth.
Summarised from published tasting notes (Cigar Aficionado and specialist tobacconists).
