Pledge is a full-bodied, box-pressed line from Casa Carrillo in the Dominican Republic, using a dark Connecticut-grown Habano wrapper over an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and Nicaraguan filler. The Prequel was named Cigar Aficionado's No.1 Cigar of 2020 with 98 points.

The maker's notes point to spice and robust wood balanced by sweetness, finishing on smooth coffee. Sizes run from the Prequel robusto (5 x 50) to the Sojourn (6 x 52) and the larger Apogee.
