La Historia is one of Ernesto Perez-Carrillo's signature blends, made at his family's factory in the Dominican Republic and named in tribute to his parents, wife and children. A Mexican San Andrés wrapper covers an Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed binder and Nicaraguan filler. The E-III was ranked No.2 in Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 Cigars of 2014.
The maker describes a medium-to-full, full-flavoured smoke built around cocoa and coffee, with earthy, peppery and woody notes and a gentle sweetness towards the end.
