Backwoods are machine-made American cigars which, according to Tor Imports, are made from 100% natural tobacco. They are known for their rustic 'Wild & Mild' look: a tapered 4½ x 32 body with a broadleaf wrapper, a frayed foot and an unfinished head. They come five to an airtight, resealable foil pouch that helps keep in moisture and aroma.
Authentic, formerly sold as Sweet Aromatic, is the classic of the range. Tor Imports attributes its sweet aroma to a broadleaf wrapper aged for 12 months over selected filler. Simply Cigars rates Backwoods as mild, with a smoking time of about 25 minutes.
