Romeo Y Julieta

Romeo y Julieta was created as a Habanos brand in 1875 and named after Shakespeare's play. It won international fame under Don 'Pepín' Rodríguez, one of the first to see the value of the cigar band. Winston Churchill was a devoted smoker, and after his 1946 visit to Havana his name was given to the brand's best-known size. The Short Churchill (a robusto) followed in 2006 and the 55 ring gauge Wide Churchill in 2010.
