Romeo y Julieta was created as a Habanos brand in 1875 and named after Shakespeare's play. Its international fame grew in the early twentieth century under Don “Pepín” Rodríguez, one of the first to recognise the value of the cigar band; the brand is said to have used as many as 20,000 different bands. Sir Winston Churchill was a devoted smoker of the marque, and after his visit to Havana in 1946 his name was given to its best-known size, the Churchill. Habanos class Romeo y Julieta as medium in flavour: smooth, aromatic and approachable.

Storage & smoking
Keep in a humidor at 65–70% relative humidity and around 16–18°C. Cut just above the cap line and toast the foot gently before lighting; smoke slowly and let it rest between draws.
