Launched at the Habanos Festival in 2011: a broad 54 ring gauge that gives a long, full and rewarding smoke.
Founded in Havana in 1845 by Don Jaime Partagás, Partagás is one of the oldest and most characterful Habanos marques. Its factory on Industria Street, just behind the Capitolio, became one of Havana's landmarks; production has since moved to Calle San Carlos. Every Partagás is long filler and totally handmade with Vuelta Abajo tobacco, and the marque is classed as full in flavour: deep, earthy and spicy. The Serie line dates back to the 1930s. The letter denotes the format (D for a 50 ring gauge, E for 54, P for Pirámide), and all share the red-and-gold band. The Serie D No.4 was the line's sole survivor for decades before the range was revived in 2005.

Storage & smoking
Keep in a humidor at 65–70% relative humidity and around 16–18°C. Cut just above the cap line and toast the foot gently before lighting; smoke slowly and let it rest between draws.
