Matilde was founded by Jose Seijas (Cigar Aficionado Hall of Fame, 2012), whose career in cigars began in 1974 at the Consolidated Cigar Corporation. Serena is the mildest blend in the Matilde range.
It has an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, a Dominican binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan filler. Tabac World describes it as sweet with a creamy finish, suited to newer smokers or an early smoke.
