Joya de Nicaragua - Antaño CT Robusto - Box of 20

Antaño CT takes the Antaño family, Joya de Nicaragua's bold tribute to the Nicaraguan puros of the 1970s, and dresses it in a smooth Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and fillers. The lighter wrapper might suggest a gentle cigar, but the maker says the blend is deliberately assertive.

Joya de Nicaragua and Tor Imports describe a medium to full smoke that pairs lively creaminess with strong spice, setting the expected softness of a Connecticut Shade leaf against the richer, more pungent character of Nicaraguan tobacco. Tor's notes record a Cigar Aficionado rating of 91 for the Robusto. It is handmade in Estelí at Nicaragua's oldest premium cigar factory, founded in 1968.
