First released as a 2004 Limited Edition and added to the regular range in 2008: a generous 50 ring gauge Gordito.
Hoyo de Monterrey was first used as a brand in 1865 by José Gener, named after his plantation at San Juan y Martínez in the Vuelta Abajo; the gate still bears his name. Habanos class the classic Hoyo range as light in flavour: delicate, aromatic and elegant.

Storage & smoking
Keep in a humidor at 65–70% relative humidity and around 16–18°C. Cut just above the cap line and toast the foot gently before lighting; smoke slowly and let it rest between draws.
