H. Upmann was founded in Havana in 1844 by the German banker Herman Upmann. Its boxes still carry the gold medals won at international exhibitions in the nineteenth century. Hunters & Frankau have represented the brand in the UK since the 1850s, and H. Upmann is credited with introducing the cedar-lined aluminium cigar tube. Habanos class H. Upmann as light to medium in flavour.

Storage & smoking
Keep in a humidor at 65–70% relative humidity and around 16–18°C. Cut just above the cap line and toast the foot gently before lighting; smoke slowly and let it rest between draws.
