Padrón

Padrón was founded in 1964 by José O. Padrón, and every cigar in the range is a Nicaraguan puro, made by hand from sun-grown tobacco. The lines are defined by how long the leaf is aged: at least two and a half years for the original Padrón Series (the 2000 and 3000), four years for the box-pressed 1964 Anniversary Series, five for the 1926 Serie and ten for the Family Reserve. Cigar Aficionado named the 1926 Serie No. 9 its Cigar of the Year in 2007, and the 1964 Anniversary Torpedo in 2021.

Most sizes come with a natural or maduro wrapper. Strength runs from the mild-to-medium, Connecticut-wrapped Dámaso to the full-bodied 1926 Serie and Family Reserve, so choose by line first, then wrapper and size.
