La Aurora

La Aurora was founded in 1903 by Eduardo León Jimenes and is the oldest premium cigar maker in the Dominican Republic. Its handmade range includes La Aurora 107, launched in 2010 to mark 107 years of cigar making and now offered with Ecuadorian, Nicaraguan and US Broadleaf maduro wrappers, and ADN Dominicano, a full-bodied blend that uses whole Andullo leaf in the filler. The long-filler Príncipes comes in Claro and Maduro, and the León Jimenes cigars carry the founder's name.

Choose by strength and format: Príncipes Claro and the León Jimenes cigars are mild to mild-medium, Príncipes Maduro is medium, 107 medium to full and ADN full. For a short, lightly flavoured smoke, the machine-made Príncipes Chicos and Corona come in natural, vanilla, chocolate, cherry and rum versions.
