Drew Estate
Drew Estate was founded by Jonathan Drew and makes its cigars at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua. Its flagship Liga Privada No. 9 and T52 are full-bodied blends built around dark Connecticut-grown wrappers and rolled in a dedicated room at the factory. Undercrown began in 2010 as a blend developed by the factory's own rollers, and Blackened is a collaboration with Metallica's James Hetfield and master distiller Rob Dietrich. The range also includes Deadwood, the coffee-infused Tabak Especial, the smoky Kentucky Fire Cured and the value-led Factory Smokes.
Choose by strength and wrapper. For a lighter smoke, look at the Connecticut shade versions of Undercrown, Blackened (S84) and Factory Smokes; for more depth, the maduro-wrapped Undercrown, Blackened M81 or Liga Privada. Coronets and tins in 4 x 32 suit a shorter smoke.
