Charatan Cigars

Charatan traces its name to 1863, when Frederick Charatan opened a tobacco shop in Mansell Street, London. The brand was revived by Dunhill in the 1990s and has been owned by Tor Imports since 2017; its hand-made cigars have been produced at Joya de Nicaragua, the country's oldest factory, since 2018. The Original is a mild blend of Nicaraguan filler, Indonesian binder and shade-grown Java wrapper, created for British smokers. The London range, launched in 2024, has three blends: Claro (Ecuadorian Connecticut, mild), Colorado (Ecuadorian Habano, mild to medium) and Maduro (Mexican San Andrés, medium).

Choose by wrapper, then size, from Half Churchill to Toro. For a quick smoke, the Senorita, Corona, Petit Corona and cigarillos are a separate range of machine-made, dry-cured cigars produced for Charatan in Belgium.
