Casa Magna
Casa Magna comes from Manuel Quesada, who has been making cigars since 1974. The original Colorado was created with Nestor Plasencia, Nicaragua's largest grower of cigar tobacco, and is a Nicaraguan puro of Cuban-seed tobacco from Estelí and Jalapa; its name refers to the reddish-brown wrapper. The Colorado Robusto was Cigar Aficionado's No. 1 Cigar of the Year in 2008. Later additions are made at Quesada's TABADEX factory in the Dominican Republic: Liga F, the strongest Casa Magna, launched in 2021, and the limited XV, released in 2023 for the brand's 15th anniversary.
Choose by strength: the Colorado and XV are medium, while Liga F, with its sun-grown Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper, is full. The Colorado comes in several sizes, from the small Pikito to the Robusto and Torito.
